Citizen's Advice Bureau
We are please to provide space for the CAB to do weekly clinics in Stansted. They are at the surgery every Wednesday morning. Plesae call CAB on 01799 618840 to make an appointment.
Inspiring the next generation:
We are pleased to offer Work Experience to Sixth Form Students, or Y10 students, 2 day work experience placements, to give them a glimpse of what life is like in General Practice. Students who are considering a career in medicine, pharmacy, or nursing will be considered. Please contact the practice manager for an application.
Free NHS Health App and web site Patients are also encouraged to utilise the NHS FREE local health app and web site called Health help Now. The tool allows you to look at a variety of symptoms and to get advice on the most appropriate treatments. It signposts users to the nearest services, such as pharmacies, drug and alcohols services, mental health support and gives opening times and access information. To download, search Health help Now in your app store or search Google play and select West Essex. Alternatively go to http://westessex.healthhelpnow.nhs.uk/.
CCTV and Call recording The surgery has CCTV covering the main public areas inside the surgery with footage stored for 29 days. Calls are recorded for training purposes and audit purposes.
National Diabetes Audit This practice is taking part in an important national audit about diabetes. The type of information is controlled by law and has strict confidentiality and security rules. If you do not want your information to be used please let us know.
Surgery Closures 2019
The surgery will be closed for mandatory training from 1pm on the following days in 2019:

The surgery is not open at the weekend or bank holidays

New Health App! A new digital tool to help people find local health services and advice launches today in west Essex. As part of the Evening and Weekend GP service, the Health help Now web site and app gives detailed advice and guidance on the most common ailments and symptoms. The tool also recommends the best place for treatment – showing which nearby services are open. See our useful links section
Emergency Line For emergencies only 01279 812908 from 8.00 am to 6.30 pm during opening hours. If you call on this line and it is not an emergency we will ask you to immediately put the phone down and call 01279 813200
Do you need to see a GP at the weekend or in the evening? A new weekend aqnd evening service for bookable appointments is available for our patients. You can see a GP or a Nurse and, your consultation details will be transferred to us. Contact the surgery to book an appointment at Dunmow or Saffron Walden. There are a range of procedures and referrals, determined by West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group, that we need to get permission for before actioning, as they are not routinely funded by the NHS.

The information to be extracted is NHS number,date of birth, postcode and genderThe Practice has NO choice but to allow HSCIC to extract the information.However individual patients can instruct the Practice to stop the transfer of data.
