Sunday 11 December 2022 – Urgent information for our patients
We need to advise you all that we will be under significant pressure at the surgery this coming week – week commencing 12 December 2022. Dr Andrei has had to go to Romania unexpectantly due to personal reasons, and that, along with annual leave and illness, will leave us short staffed in our GP Team. We are trying to source some additional support for our GPs, but finding locum GPs in December at short notice is proving very difficult. On Monday and Tuesday we have two of our Primary Care Network Paramedics supporting the GPs, but currently demand is very high, with the usual Winter Pressures, and the high level of public concern over Scarlet Fever and Strep A, so we will struggle to provide a “business as usual” service.
What can patients do to help us this coming week?
- Please only call us this coming week with URGENT matters that cannot wait until next week.
- Please tell our Reception Team why you are calling – this helps the clinical team to prioritise the most urgent cases for immediate attention, and ensures the correct team member deals with the matter.
- Please be patient with us, calls may take longer to be returned.
- Please be kind and respectful to staff – we will all be doing our absolute best to look after you.
We thank you all for your understanding and support.
