Prescriptions

Non-urgent advice: Notice

We have changed our repeat prescription ordering service so it links directly with our clinical system. This should reduce queries that currently arise over medication. If you wish to continue using the service you will need to come into the surgery to register. (Please bring ID with you e.g. Driving Licence/Passport.)This system will also allow booking of appointments on-line.

Please come to reception with your ID (e.g Driving Licence/Passport.) To access the new system if you have not already.

Repeat Prescriptions

You can request your repeat prescriptions by any of the following methods:

  • Online
Use our Online Triage Service – AccuRx
  • Counterfoil
Tick the appropriate boxes on the counterfoil from your last prescription request, and indicate where you want to collect your medication
  • In Person
Visit either surgery and complete a prescription request form
  • By Post
Enclose a stamped, addressed envelope if you want the prescription to be sent to you
  • By Email
Send Repeat Requests by email to [email protected]
Please note that we do not reply to emails due to data security and the large volume of requests that we receive.

Wherever possible please give the exact drug names when ordering. Please allow at least 2 full working days before collection.  Post will take longer so please allow a week for the prescription to reach you.  If you request your prescription very early it may not be processed until near the due date unless you advise a reason for early collection e.g. going on holiday.

Non-urgent advice: Patient Notice

We cannot take telephone requests for repeat prescriptions because of the possibility of error.

The repeat prescription system is designed for items that are on your repeat list (right hand side of the prescription issued) if you request any other item it will usually need to be reviewed by a GP and will usually take 3-4 days to be dealt with.
